Sabrina Carpenter has recalled celebrating her 21st birthday with 11 shots of tequila.
The 25-year-old singer and actress decided to test her alcohol limits when she celebrated becoming of legal drinking age in the U.S. during the pandemic in May 2020.
“My 21st birthday was in the beginning of a lockdown and that’s a bummer, but I did decide that I would really test my alcohol limitations,” Sabrina told W magazine in an interview published earlier this month.
“So I think I had around 11 shots of tequila and then that was the end of that,” the Espresso hitmaker continued. “And I’m not a tequila girl now.”
Sabrina went on to say that she quickly realised she was a “lightweight” and that she “probably should have only had two” tequila shots.
The Please Please Please singer also noted that she was at home with her sisters at the time.
“I do remember it, because it was just so crazy of me to do that,” she told the publication. “It was in the safety of my own home… I was with my sisters, and I was like, let’s go for it ’cause we’re here, and now I’m not really a tequila girl.”
Sabrina has three older sisters, Cayla, 32, Shannon, 30, and Sarah, 27.
