On Thursday, the singer-actress took to Instagram to announce that she has recorded an album titled I Said I Love You First with the producer-songwriter, whom she got engaged to last December.
The album will be released on 21 March, while the first single, Scared of Loving You, is now available to stream on all platforms.
“I always trick you guys. My NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21,” she captioned the post, which featured a slideshow of snaps of herself and Benny posing together. “Our first song, Scared of Loving You is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
Selena also shared the cover art for Scared of Loving You, which shows her crawling on a bed and cradling Benny’s cheek with her hand.
“How would they love you, as much as I love you,” the 32-year-old gushed in a separate post. “Scared of Loving You, song and lyric video, with @itsbennyblanco out now!”
Meanwhile, Benny posted a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the photoshoot and added, “I cant believe i get to spend the rest of my life with you (sic).”
It’s not the first time the pair have collaborated on music. The 36-year-old was a producer on Selena’s songs Kill Em with Kindness and Same Old Love from her 2015 album Revival, while they also worked on her single, Single Soon.
The Only Murders in the Building star’s last full studio album was 2020’s Rare.
