Known for hit tracks such as “Focus Is Power” and “I Do This All The Time,” Taylor has steadily expanded her acting career across stage and television in recent years. In 2023, she starred as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret, followed by a lead performance in the revival of David Hare’s play Teeth ‘n’ Smiles. Her previous screen credits include roles in the Sky comedy series Smothered and the critically acclaimed drama series I Hate Suzie.
Speaking to Variety following the project’s announcement, director Celyn Jones described the production as an emotional and spiritual homecoming. He expressed pride in bringing a world-class cast and crew to north Wales, noting that while the story is fictional, its themes of connection and humor feel deeply personal.
Co-star Peter Mullan, who previously collaborated with Jones on the thriller The Vanishing, revealed that the emotional script immediately drew him to the project, praising the storytelling and the scenic backdrop of Anglesey. Filming on Mountain wrapped earlier this year, with an official release date expected to be announced in the coming months.
