Shakira and Burna Boy debut “Dai Dai” music video featuring global football stars

Global music icons Shakira and Burna Boy have officially released the music video for their new collaboration, “Dai Dai.” Serving as the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the track directly supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis and filmed in Miami, the vibrant video features an elite lineup of football superstars, including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Christian Pulisic.

The video also highlights the Ghetto Kids Uganda, a life-changing non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable and orphaned children through dance and music. Additionally, the visuals pay tribute to Mexico, showcasing Shakira atop Mexico City’s iconic Ángel de la Independencia landmark, a moment made possible with the support of the capital’s local tourism campaign.

The duo will perform the anthem live on Sunday, 19 July, when Shakira co-headlines the historic, first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show alongside Madonna and BTS. The performance at the intersection of sport and culture aims to bolster the tournament’s philanthropic goals. First announced at Global Citizen NOW in New York, “Dai Dai” serves as the primary anthem for a campaign aiming to raise $100 million to provide quality education and sports access to underserved communities globally. Shakira is donating all her royalties from the track to the cause, a contribution that Sony Music will match up to $250,000.

Both artists are carrying immense momentum into the summer sports spectacle. Shakira is donating $1 from every ticket sold on her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to the education fund, which includes a limited run of intimate US arena dates this summer before a massive 11-night stadium residency in Madrid this October. Meanwhile, the collaboration marks another massive milestone for Burna Boy, reinforcing his status as a premier global cultural voice capable of bridging international music and major sporting events on an unprecedented scale.
