Shakira and Burna Boy team up for Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Official Song

Global icons Shakira and Burna Boy have joined forces to release “Dai Dai,” the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Released via Sony Music Latin, the track was unveiled at Global Citizen NOW in New York as the anthem for the newly established FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The initiative aims to raise $100 million by the end of the tournament to provide children in underserved communities with access to quality education and sports.

The collaboration marks a significant philanthropic commitment from Shakira, who will donate her royalties from “Dai Dai” to the fund. Additionally, Sony Music has pledged to match the first $250,000 raised, and Shakira will donate $1 from every ticket sold during her upcoming “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour. Burna Boy highlighted the unifying power of the project, stating, “Football and music speak the same language. They bring people together no matter where you’re from.”

In a historic move, Shakira was also announced as a co-headliner for the first-ever FIFA World Cup™ Final Halftime Show. On July 19, 2026, she will take the stage alongside Madonna and BTS for a landmark performance at the intersection of sport and global culture.

The news comes on the heels of Shakira’s record-breaking performance at Copacabana Beach, where she drew an audience of over two million fans for the “Todo Mundo No Rio” concert. The event, which generated an estimated $800 million in local economic benefits, featured guest appearances by Anitta and Ivete Sangalo.
