Shakira & Burna Boy’s ‘Dai Dai’ Rules Global Charts, BTS’ ‘Normal’ Blasts Back to Top Five

Following another high-profile live performance, Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” continues as the biggest song in the world, topping the Billboard Global 200 for a third week and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a fifth week.

Plus, BTS’ “Normal” rebounds to the top of both rankings thanks to new promotion and the premiere of its official video.

“Dai Dai” is No. 1 on the Global 200 with 57.9 million streams (up 34% week over week) and 15,000 sold (up 186%) worldwide July 17-23, according to Luminate. It tops Global Excl. U.S. with 49.6 million streams (up 35%) and 8,000 sold (up 124%) outside the U.S.

The song, which became the first official World Cup anthem to lead the lists, has benefited from World Cup performances that bookended this edition’s festivities. Shakira and Burna Boy sang it for a reported 80,000-plus fans at the opening ceremony June 11 at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca. During the final match of soccer’s preeminent tournament July 19 — two days into the latest charts’ tracking week — Shakira, Justin Bieber, BTS and Madonna headlined the first-ever World Cup final halftime show, also featuring Burna Boy, among others, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., an 11-minute showcase that included “Dai Dai.”

After debuting at its prior No. 5 Global 200 high in May concurrent with the chart start of parent album ARIRANG, BTS’ “Normal” reenters at No. 4 with 26.6 million streams and 48,000 sold worldwide. It drew 22.8 million streams (up 182%) and sold 27,000 (up from a nominal sum) outside the U.S., as it reenters Global Excl. U.S. at a new No. 2 best, also after debuting and previously peaking at No. 5. Building new buzz for the song: Ads published for it in the San Francisco Chronicle July 13 and the New York Post July 14 and the arrival of its video July 17.

Elsewhere in the Global 200’s top five, Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” holds at No. 2 after two weeks at No. 1 since its debut in June; Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” keeps at its No. 3 high; and, also sparked by the World Cup, Oasis’ ‘90s classic “Wonderwall” dips to No. 5 from its No. 4 peak, following its usage by fans of the English men’s team.

On Global Excl. U.S., “Hate That I Made You Love Me” is steady at No. 3, after spending its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 in June; Justin Bieber’s “Beauty and a Beat,” featuring Nick Minaj, rises 5-4, following two weeks at No. 1 in May; and BTS’ “Swim,” the lead single from ARIRANG, falls 2-5 after eight weeks on top since April.

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, which began in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.

Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

The latest charts, dated Aug. 1, 2026, will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, July 28. For both tallies, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard’s subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.

Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.
