Snayx have shared their huge new single ‘Nice Day 4 It’, described by the band as “a summer song, but lost in its own melancholy” – check it out below.
The track marks the beginning of a new era for the Brighton alt-punk trio and is their first release through new label Nettwerk Music Group.
Built around a euphoric, festival-ready chorus, ‘Nice Day 4 It’ finds the group pairing their typically abrasive riffs with a more melodic sound, while exploring burnout and the appeal of surrendering to chaos.
“It’s a summer song, but lost in its own melancholy, in its own weird way,” the band have explained. “It’s about that headspace where self-destruction stops feeling like a problem and starts feeling more like just another day.”

The band continued: “Feelings get filed away for a future version of yourself to deal with. Your mate texts. You go again. When the spiral begins to spin so rapidly out of control, you eventually end up in motion and before you know it, you’re actually rolling.”
“There’s something almost freeing in the dissonance. Like once you stop trying to hold it together, the pressure’s off.
“It’s not quite nihilism, but there’s definitely a sense of: everyone’s a bit fucked, the world’s a bit fucked, so why not make a nice day of it?” they concluded.
The new material comes after Snayx shared the bass-heavy single ‘Strut’ last year, taking aim at “nepotism, vanity, generational wealth, trends and crippling social media addiction”.
Snayx – frontman Charlie Herridge, bassist Ollie Horner and drummer Lainey Loops – are currently working on their long-awaited debut album, with further details yet to be announced.
The trio were included in NME’s 100 essential emerging artists for 2025, where they were praised for mixing “stomping Brit-punk with harsh, blunt lyricism” and building a following through the word-of-mouth buzz surrounding their live shows.
NME also awarded the band’s 2023 Manchester show five stars, calling it a “flawless display from a vital band who are definitely capable of propelling UK punk far into the future”.
They will play Beautiful Days Festival in Exeter on August 23 and Lindisfarne Festival in Northumberland on September 3, before joining Yonaka on tour across the UK and Ireland.
The support run begins in Belfast on September 29 and includes dates in Dublin, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham, Leeds and Glasgow. Snayx will also play their own shows at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on October 3 and Brighton’s Concorde 2 on October 6. Find tickets here.
