Snow Tha Product Is Ready to ‘Crash Out.’ But First, a New Album

Snow Tha Product doesn’t mind a crashout here or there. If you’ve seen her podcast Every Night Nights — where she unapologetically dives into politics, music, and, well, chisme — you already know she’s not afraid to say what she thinks. And if you caught her set at Don’t Fall in Love Fest over the weekend, she proved it again: Before playing her viral song “Sábado,” she shared some pointed words for the MAGA-lovers in the crowd and backstage: “I would like to tell you, even though you’re going to blackball me… I’d like you to officially suck my fucking dick.”

That’s just who Snow Tha Product is: an artist who doesn’t shy away from calling people out. But before she officially crashes out, Snow is ready to deliver a new album. Rolling Stone can exclusively announce on Tuesday that the Mexican American rapper will be releasing her latest project, Before I Crash Out, on Dec. 12.

“This project is my outlet to express myself in the current state of the world,” she tells Rolling Stone. “I feel like it encapsulates what I am feeling without it only being on the angry side of things. There are many emotions on this project, and I hope people can relate to where I’m coming from as I talk about relationships, politics, responsibilities, social media, and struggles that come from being an adult in today’s society.”

The singer landed on the album title during a livestream of her podcast, when she admitted she felt on the verge of crashing out — and used the term to frame the way she was approaching her music. At first, it was about her feelings on politics, but she eventually expanded it to include the other issues that affect young adults.

“A lot of my day one fans that had waited for certain songs that I previewed years ago and never dropped or that I dropped but were removed from streaming platforms,” Snow says. “Whether I’m bringing back fan-favorites from back in the day and adding a verse, or putting up brand new songs like ‘Sabado’ and ‘No Triago Nada,’ my views and the messages I convey have always been true and consistent.”

Editor’s picks

A centerpiece of the 26-track album will be “Sábado,” the rap track she dropped last month. She wrote the song about a person discovering that one of their family members voted for Trump, and she calls out the hypocrisy of being Latino and supporting his anti-immigrant agenda.

“The song was a more comedic take on what I was saying in songs like ‘No Traigo Nada’ on which I’m expressing the sadness of our current situation as Latinos; ‘Alligator’ had a more angry and darker tone, ‘Mad At Me Again’ had a more braggadocios way of expressing it,” Snow explains. “All in all, I felt like it reminded me that there are people who wanna discuss if we come to it from different angles and also battle in our own issues we have in our own families.”

The album will feature the ten tracks she’s released so far this year, and an addition of newer songs, set to be announced closer to the album. Before I Crashout marks her first album release since 2022’s To Anywhere.
