The announcement follows the release of her brand-new single Taste, a bold, upbeat collaboration with MNEK and producer Jon Shave (Charli XCX, Sugababes). The track, a flirtatious and joyous celebration of connection and chemistry, signals Sophie’s confident return to the shimmering disco-pop sound that made her a household name.
“Taste is about chemistry,” says Sophie. “It’s about how someone’s preferences—what they enjoy, what they introduce you to—can become irresistible. It’s a full sensory experience, and the song reflects that thrill.”
Perimenopop is set to be a vibrant, empowering album, filled with energy, colour and authenticity. Featuring previously released singles Freedom of the Night, Relentless Love, and Vertigo, the record embraces Sophie’s 25-year journey through music with a renewed sense of confidence and fun.
The new material also marks a creative high point, following the massive resurgence of her 2001 hit Murder on the Dancefloor, which went viral after being featured in the final scene of Saltburn. The track re-entered global charts, earning platinum status in the U.S., double BRIT platinum in the UK, and climbing to #2 on the Official UK Singles Chart and #51 on the Billboard Hot 100.
With five Top 10 albums and eight Top 10 singles to her name, Sophie has recently played sold-out tours across Europe and the U.S., supported music legends like Take That and Nile Rodgers, and performed on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage. This spring sees her embark on her biggest UK tour to date, including a sold-out Royal Albert Hall show.
Tickets for the Perimenopop album launch at KOKO will be available via pre-sale on May 14th with album pre-orders, and on general sale from May 16th.
