Soulwax have dropped new ‘Nite Versions’ of their recent singles and released their new album on 8-track, MiniDisc and the CD longbox.

In 2005, the Ghent band and brothers David and Stephen Dewaele dropped the dancefloor-ready ‘Nite Version’ remix of their record ‘Any Minute Now’. The remix would go on to cement the duo as part of the 00’s electroclash wave, with the record eclipsing the popularity of the original.
Now, Soulwax have returned by releasing the ‘Nite Versions’ of their most recent singles ‘All Systems Are Lying’ and ‘Run Free’. It comes from ‘All Systems Are Lying’, their first album in over seven years, which dropped last October.
In addition, Soulwax have announced they have teamed up with Unified Goods to release ‘All Systems Are Lying’ on 8-Track, MiniDisc and the CD Longbox. Released as “an experiment in what physical media can mean in the streaming age”, only 25 copies of each format will be made.
The new album formats will also have custom designs by DEEWEE, the duo’s Ghent studio, and will be available exclusively via the Soulwax and Unified Goods mailing list from 11am tomorrow (November 14) – sign up here for access.
Meanwhile, Soulwax are due to embark on a 2026 European and UK tour. Kicking off with a three-night residency at Brussels’ Halles de Schaerbeek between December 17 and 19, it will be followed by two huge UK performances at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse and London’s O2 Brixton Academy on January 14 and 15, respectively.
Then, they’ll round off their tour with two final dates in Europe – a show at Salle Pleyel in Paris on January 16 and a final gig at AFAS in Amsterdam on January 17.

Elsewhere, NME spoke to Soulwax in their DJ aliases, 2ManyDJs, back in 2022 – along with counting the legendary David Bowie as a fan.
Bowie would hail their mixes “dynamite combinations” and would repeatedly praise them in the press. The pair would later make a Bowie mix and accompanying film, DAVE, as Radio Soulwax.
“It’s still weird that we talk about Bowie as if we’d known him but we only met him once,” Stephen told us. “It’s pretty crazy, even now. He was even on the forum on our little website as ‘David Bowie’ asking us questions, and we thought he was someone else!
“When we met him, Dave asked him how much time he spent on the internet and he replied, ‘Don’t you see I’m on your forum all the time?’ It seems like such a weird world now.”
