St. Vincent announces ‘Live In London!’ vinyl release of BBC Proms Royal Albert Hall show

St. Vincent has announced a vinyl release for her BBC Proms show at London’s Royal Albert Hall last year.

The musician – real name Annie Clark – played an orchestral set at the annual classical music festival in September, backed by a 60-piece orchestra conducted and arranged by Jules Buckley, who was celebrating his 25th Prom.

The set had previously been released as a digital streaming album in March, under the title ‘St. Vincent: Live In London!’, and now a vinyl pressing has been announced for the album.

The 19-track release spans some of Clark’s biggest songs alongside deep cuts, and it will be released on July 10 via Total Pleasure/Virgin Music Group. Pre-order/pre-save your copy here.

Check out ‘Digital Witness’ from the Proms performance here:

St. Vincent – ‘Live In London!’ tracklist:

‘We Put A Pearl In The Ground’
‘Hell Is Near’
‘Reckless’
‘Violent Times’

‘The Strangers’
‘Black Rainbow’
‘Marrow’
‘The Bed’
‘Smoking Section’
‘Now, Now’
‘Live In The Dream’
‘The Nowhere Inn’
‘Digital Witness’
‘Los Ageless’
‘The Party’
‘New York’
‘Paris Is Burning’
‘Candy Darling’
‘Slow Disco’

Clark is also taking the orchestral show, with Buckley conducting local orchestras, on the road around North America, starting on June 2 in Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall For The Performing Arts, and wrapping up at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on August 2. Find tickets here.

AUGUST

Ahead of the show last autumn, Buckley said: “The concept here is not just to slap an orchestral wallpaper behind an artist. We’ve worked together to find a new interpretation of St. Vincent’s sound. Annie and her keys player, Rachel, have toured as a duo, so that’s been an inspiration for how to reimagine some of the pieces with a larger ensemble.”

Clark had previously taken to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in 2024. In a four-star review of that gig, NME wrote: “Throughout the pulverising 90-minute set, Clark wields her guitar like a weapon and attacks the microphone with a restless urgency.

“Big, cathartic breakdowns teeter on the edge of chaos, but Clark and her four-piece band never let things fall apart completely. It’s gorgeous to watch, but it demands participation as well. With music this charged, there’s simply no standing on the sidelines.”

Earlier this year, St. Vincent covered Depeche Mode, Jeff Buckley and more at an intimate show in California, alongside her keyboardist Rachel Eckroth. She also joined Cate Le Bon onstage in New York to perform their collaborative single ‘Always The Same’.

St. Vincent also appeared on Ringo Starr’s new solo album, ‘Long Long Road’, along with the likes of Sheryl Crow and Billy Strings.
