Stevie Wonder has announced a fall tour that he has dubbed “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” a 10-date, pre-Election Day trek that takes the music legend to battleground states in October.
The performances — which serve as a call for “joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, peace over war,” Wonder said — will begin October 8 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Wonder is also set to play a Philadelphia show on October 12 in the hotly contested, potentially election-deciding state.
From October 8 to the 30th, Wonder will travel to arenas in Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan (twice), Wisconsin, and Minnesota, with each state a varying degree of up-in-the-air ahead of Election Day on November 5.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, with ”a designated amount of complimentary tickets to those in our communities who are already working tirelessly to fix our nation’s broken heart,” AEG said.
Wonder, who previously performed his “Higher Ground” at the Democratic National Convention, named his upcoming tour after his recent single “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” his first new song in four years and coincidentally his first new music since the last presidential election cycle in 2020.
