Taylor Swift sends eight-year-old fan guitar following viral video

Taylor Swift has delighted a young fan by sending her a guitar after a heartwarming video went viral on TikTok.

The music superstar has been praised after gifting the eight-year-old fan both a signed guitar and a handwritten letter following the clip’s huge success online.

In April, a girl from Ohio named Madeline asked her musician neighbour, who was playing guitar and singing in his garden, to perform one of Taylor’s songs.

However, the youngster made the request in an unusual way by sending the message via paper aeroplane, which she threw over the fence into her neighbour’s garden

The neighbour, 26-year-old Ethan Hayes, received the sweet note and performed a rendition of Taylor’s 2008 hit Love Story, while Madeline’s mother captured the whole interaction on video.

After the clip was uploaded to social media, it quickly went viral, racking up nearly four million views on TikTok, with one of those viewers being the Bad Blood singer herself.

In response to the touching moment, Taylor sent Madeline a signed guitar along with a handwritten note. Ethan also received a guitar from the Grammy-winning pop star.

In the note, shared by People, Taylor told Madeline the video brought the “biggest smile” to her face.

“I just wanted to let you know that it made me so happy that you asked your neighbour to play my song for you,” she wrote. “You brought the biggest smile to my face!”

The Cruel Summer hitmaker continued, “I’m sending you your own guitar in case you ever want to learn too! Thanks again! And sending you my love.”

Speaking to the outlet, Ethan revealed that Taylor’s team contacted him personally after the video took off online.

“They’re like, ‘Hey, Taylor saw your video. We want to send you something. Don’t tell anyone until it gets there,'” he said. “I was expecting maybe a signed poster or something. And then she sent us guitars, which is insane.”
