The star took pictures with young fans and staffers while giving out autographed copies of the Eras Tour book
Taylor Swift paid a visit to a children’s hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, just days after wrapping up the Eras Tour.
Several staffers and patient family members at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City posted pictures of Swift at the hospital, where she took pictures with patients and staff, signed autographs, and gave some of her young fans signed copies of the Eras Tour book.
“Children’s Mercy Hospital does their best to nurse seriously ill children, comfort family, and bring a little joy when they can. Today did not disappoint,” Anita Belt wrote on Facebook, sharing photos of Swift with a patient named Rylie. “Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!!”
Annie DeGreeff, a pediatric nurse, shared a photo on Instagram of the singer surrounded by over a dozen hospital staffers. “TAYLOR SWIFT WAS IN THE PROCEDURAL SEDATION UNIT,” she wrote. “Best day ever!!!”
Another woman named Melissa Nuzum shared pictures of Swift with a patient named Baylee, noting that Baylee “requests Taylor songs during her uncomfortable procedures.”
“We have fan girled all morning! I even cried because it’s wonderful to see my girl smile so much knowing the pain she’s been in,” Nuzum wrote. “Thank you Taylor and those involved at Children’s Mercy that helped make this happen!”
Swift is days removed from finishing her record-breaking Eras Tour in Vancouver earlier this week. It finished as the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, the only tour to gross $2 billion. Over the course of the whole tour, she gave out nearly $200 million in bonuses to her crew. Meanwhile, Swift was the most-streamed artist on Spotify this year for the second year in a row.
