Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Tops Global Charts for Fifth Week

Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” rules both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for a fifth week. It rebounds a spot on the former and holds atop the latter list. The song spent its first week atop each tally upon its debut in October.

Swift claims her sole longest Global 200 command, as “The Fate of Ophelia” bests the four-week No. 1 run of “Anti-Hero” in 2022. She extends her longest Global Excl. U.S. domination.

Plus, Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” bounds onto both charts at No. 4 and Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life,” revived from 2015, hits the Global Excl. U.S. top 10.

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.

Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

“The Fate of Ophelia” tops the Global 200 with 78.3 million streams (up 2% week-over-week) and 17,000 sold (up 41%) worldwide in the week ending Jan. 15. Helping spark its sales gain, its TELYKAST & XanTz remix was released digitally Jan. 14, followed by an extended version of that mix Jan. 15.

Djo’s “End of Beginning” drops to No. 2 a week after it became the singer-songwriter and actor’s first Global 200 No. 1 and HUNTR/X’s “Golden” holds at No. 3 after 18 weeks on top beginning last July. Both continue to parlay Netflix ties to lofty chart heights, with Djo having starred in Stranger Things, whose finale premiered Dec. 31, and “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters.

“I Just Might” dances onto the Global 200 at No. 4 with 60.2 million streams and 19,000 sold worldwide in its first week of release. The lead single from Mars’ album The Romantic, due Feb. 27, marks his fifth top 10 since the chart began.

Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” slips 4-5 after reaching No. 3 on the Global 200.

“The Fate of Ophelia” leads Global Excl. U.S. with 61.5 million streams (up 3%) and 6,000 sold (up 19%) outside the U.S.

“End of Beginning” repeats at its No. 2 Global Excl. U.S. highpoint and “Golden” keeps to No. 3 after a record 20 weeks at No. 1 since July.

“I Just Might” starts at No. 4 on the Global 200 with 37.4 million streams and 6,000 sold beyond the U.S. It’s his fourth top 10 on the tally.

RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” revisits its No. 5 Global Excl. U.S. best, rising one spot.

Elsewhere, Zara Larsson achieves her first Global Excl. U.S. top 10, pushing 13-10 with “Lush Life,” led by a 25% jump to 31 million streams outside the U.S. The Swedish artist released the song in June 2015; it hit the chart for the first time in November as it surged in viral activity. “I have always loved what I do,” she recently told Billboard. “It’s nice to see that people are connecting with what I do, as well. I have things to say.”

The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated Jan. 24, 2026) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Jan. 21 (a day later than usual, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Jan. 19). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard’s subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.

Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.
