The alleged incident took place while the rapper was offered a rare reprieve from a current house arrest sentence following another probation violation

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s home in Florida was reportedly robbed Sunday night, Nov. 16, according to a statement shared with Rolling Stone by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to a 911 call in response to a “home invasion robbery/burglary in progress” just before 10 p.m. local time Sunday night. There, they spoke with “several individuals… who reported that four armed, masked men entered the house with handguns.” Tekashi (real name Daniel Hernandez) reportedly was not home at the time as he was doing a livestream with YouTuber Jack Doherty.

The witnesses also told the police that the robbers “held” Hernandez’s mother while the other suspects “ran inside and ransacked the property” and “asked for cash and car keys.” Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ shows several masked people wandering around Hernandez’s house and watching over his mother.

It’s unclear what, if any items, were taken during the burglary. The police said a “K-9 track and search of residence was conducted with negative results,” adding that the suspects likely “left in a vehicle prior to deputies arrival.” Police have not identified any suspects or made any arrests yet.

In a video shared on Instagram Stories, Hernandez addressed the incident, noting that it occurred during a rare moment where he was allowed leave his home while he continues to serve a house arrest sentence. Hernandez was placed back on house arrest in September after allegedly getting involved in a fight at a Florida mall that broke the conditions of his probation, which stems back to his infamous racketeering case.

In the video, Hernandez said that yesterday he was “allowed” to leave for work, adding, “I guess people saw that I was on a livestream with Jack Doherty. They took that opportunity to fucking do some pussy shit. Like I said, it’s me, I get it. The rules are different for me. But if it was your favorite artist or your favorite actor, and that was done — they don’t get no cool points for that.”

Reps for Hernandez did not immediately return Rolling Stone’s request for further comment.
