For the first time, The Beatles, Drake and Taylor Swift are in the top 10, and top five, of the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 17) at the same time. The trio also represents the three acts with the most career No. 1s on the chart. The Beatles lead with 19, while Drake and Swift are tied with 15 each.
The Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March 1956.
On the latest Billboard 200, Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl tallies a 14th week at No. 1, Drake’s HABIBTI vaults 116-2 after it was reissued with four additional songs, and The Beatles’ former leader Rubber Soul, originally released in 1966, re-enters at No. 4 after its deluxe reissue.
Prior to the current week, Drake and Swift had shared space together in the top 10 numerous times between 2009-26. Meanwhile, The Beatles and Drake previously partnered up in the top 10 six times, most recently on the Oct. 30, 2021-dated chart when The Beatles’ Let It Be re-entered at No. 5 after its deluxe reissue, while Drake’s Certified Lover Boy was No. 1. The Beatles and Swift were together in the top 10 twice before, most recently on the Nov. 12, 2022-dated list, when The Beatles’ Revolver returned at No. 4 after its deluxe reissue, while Swift’s Midnights was No. 1.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 17, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 13. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X and Instagram.
