The Last Dinner Party, Glass Animals, John Lennon and more have been announced to participate in this year’s Secret 7″ vinyl record auction for War Child.

The charity initiative, which first launched in 2012, will see seven tracks by seven musicians each pressed to seven inch vinyl 100 times, creating 700 records. Previous participants include The Cure, Jessie Ware, Scissor Sisters and more.

The sleeves for each record are also designed by 700 creatives, with their identities only revealed upon purchasing the vinyl. All sleeves will be available to purchase via auction after the exhibition.

Now, this year’s Secret 7″ lineup has been announced, and alongside the adorementioned artists, will include Gabrielle, The Maccabees, Skin, and Bastille. You can find the full tracklist below.

All money raised from the auction will support War Child’s work to provide protection, eduction and specialist mental health support to children affected by conflict around the world.

The Secret 7” 2026 tracklist is:

John Lennon – ‘Out the Blue’
The Last Dinner Party – ‘Let’s Do It Again!’
Gabrielle – ‘Out of Reach’
The Maccabees – ‘No Kind Words’
Skin – ‘Purple’
Glass Animals – ‘Take a Slice’
Bastille – ‘Hope For The Future’

War Child’s Fundraising and Engagement Director, Charlotte Nimmo says of this year’s edition: “All of us at War Child are incredibly excited to be announcing the return of Secret 7” for its tenth edition. This year we’ve got some incredible tracks from some of the biggest names in music, all to help raise funds for War Child’s work.

“Right now over 520 million children have had their lives impacted by conflict worldwide,” she added. “The need has never been so great and it is increasing daily. We hope that, through this creative endeavour, we can offer music and art fans something truly unique to take home that brings them joy when they see and listen, and know that they helped have a tangible impact on children’s lives in the process.”

Those wishing to submit designs for the sleeves can do so until June 1 here.

Elsewhere, The Last Dinner Party also contributed to War Child’s monumental ‘Help(2)’ record, the follow-up to the landmark 1995 ‘Help’ record for War Child.

In an exclusive track-by-track interview by James Ford, who spearheaded production for the compilation, he told NME of The Last Dinner Party’s original contribution, ‘Let’s Do It Again!’

“I knew of this track because I was going to make their second record [‘From The Pyre’], but obviously my illness made it impossible for me to be a part of it,” he told us. “It was a demo floating around for that record, and I thought that song was really good. I’m surprised it didn’t go on the record.

“When we approached them about it, they suggested that track. It’s just a really fun, glammy, camp thing that they do really well – leaning into the whole Spiders From Mars aspect of it.”
