The ongoing ‘After Hours til Dawn’ tour began in 2022 and it was announced last year that it has earned over $1billion (£740million), a record for a male recording artist. That figure was surpassed last winter, although it includes ticket sales from 2026 dates. The tour has passed 153 shows and 7.5million tickets sold.

As part of the tour, The Weeknd will continue partnering with Global Citizen to raise funds to provide access to quality education for children around the world through the FIFA Global
Citizen Education Fund.

A portion of every ticket sold for the 2026 tour will go towards providing underprivileged children with funds for education, as well as food for the global hunger crisis via his partnership with Global Citizen. To date, he has donated over $8.5million to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen from the ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour alone.

Earlier this year, streaming service Spotify celebrated 20 years by sharing the most streamed artists in its history. The Weeknd came fourth in the artists list, while his 2019 song ‘Blinding Lights’ topped the individual songs list.
