This week’s emerging and self-releasing artists

Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

Redtenbacher’s Funkestra – ‘Code 12’
Redtenbacher’s Funkestra marks 30 years of independent groove mastery with ‘Funkopia’, a 10-track celebration of craft, collaboration and genre-defying funk led by the smoky, slick standout single ‘Code 12’, Featuring longtime UK, Austrian and US collaborators, the album embodies the collective trust and precision that have defined Stefan Redtenbacher’s vision over three decades.

The Ingrid – ‘Limerence’
The Ingrid introduce themselves with ‘Limerence’, their debut single built on hazy guitars, introspective lyricism and Jess Charleslyn’s piercing vocals as it traces a journey through obsession, self-sabotage and acceptance. Emerging from a Chichester rehearsal room and completed with producer Greg Walsh, the band position themselves as bold new challengers of modern artistry, driven by experimentation and emotional truth.

Joe Galuszka – ‘The Quiet Was Loud’
Joe Galuszka makes a compelling debut with ‘The Quiet Was Loud’, the lead single from his upcoming EP ‘Fractures’, a wintry neoclassical piece shaped by themes of grief, resilience and emotional renewal. Evolving from a train-written sketch into a full orchestral work featuring Bristol Ensemble players, the track reflects the Bristol composer’s acclaimed journey through film scoring and contemporary classical music.

D’chrome Foster – ‘Right Now’
D’chrome Foster returns with ‘Right Now’ featuring BBass, a vibrant, club-ready single paired with an animated video that showcases the Brooklyn-born artist’s playful, groove-driven side. Blending timeless R&B emotion with modern hip-hop swagger, the track captures the thrill of an unexpected nightclub encounter while further cementing his reputation as a dynamic storyteller and performer.

Zeke The Zombie Slayur – ‘be right there’
Zeke the Zombie Slayur unveils ‘I’m Glad I Made This’, a 26-track concept album that interrogates selfhood, jealousy and the pursuit of artistic independence, anchored by the standout single ‘be right there’, where he pointedly declares, “You say rapper, I say prophet.” More than a rapper, the Brooklyn polymath produces, designs and conceptualises every element himself, crafting a surreal, spiritual and streetwise universe that reframes hip-hop as a “frequency of love” and a prophetic act of self-definition.
