Thom Yorke has been filmed abandoning his concert after arguing with a heckler.
The Radiohead frontman left the stage mid-finale at his solo show in Melbourne, Australia after an audience member repeatedly disrupted his performance of Karma Police.
Video published to social media showed the singer initially pausing the song to better hear the heckler’s complaint before directly engaging in debate.
“Come up and say that. Right here,” Thom, 56, said. “Come up on the f**king stage and say what you want to say. But don’t stand there like a coward, come here and say it. Come on.”
The crowd then began to boo as the heckler demanded to know Thom’s position on the current conflict between Palestine and Israel.
“You want to p**s on everybody’s night? Come on. OK, you do. See you later then,” Thom replied, before removing his guitar and exiting the stage.
He returned shortly afterwards to complete the song, however fans were left disgruntled by the unidentified heckler’s behaviour.
“Seriously though, time and place,” one commenter wrote. “This is not raising awareness or actually helping Palestinians, this is just to give the protester some false sense of righteousness.”
