“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” Full Scope PR says in statement
The public relations company representing Travis Kelce said they are considering taking legal action after a “false and fabricated” press release strategizing the impending breakup between the football star and Taylor Swift appeared on the internet.
A photo of the allegedly leaked document — “Comprehensive Media Plan For Travis Kelce’s Relations Following Breakup with Taylor Swift” — first leaked onto Reddit earlier this week, and alleged a late-September breakup for the pair. The letterhead of Full Scope Public Relations, the firm that reps Kelce, also appeared on the document.
However, in a statement Thursday to People, Full Scope emphatically stated that the “Comprehensive Media Plan” was a fake created by persons unknown, for now.
“These documents are entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued, or authorized by this agency,” a Full Scope spokesperson said. “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.”
(The Reddit post that first shared the false document has since been deleted, with fans online now speculating that the “Comprehensive Media Plan” was perhaps one overzealous fan’s school project.)
The fake document arrived, coincidentally, just days before the Kansas City Chiefs open their 2024 season Thursday night, a game that Swift will reportedly be in attendance for. The singer also recently featured prominently in the NFL’s promo for the upcoming season.
Swift has also been a frequent topic in Kelce’s interviews in the lead-up to the NFL season, with the tight end telling the Rich Eisen Show just days ago that Swift has even concocted potential offensive plays. “She had just been so open to learning the game, she didn’t know much about the rules or anything…I think she was just curious about the profession,” he said. “I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach [Andy] Reid yet, but if they ever do I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.”
