Trey Songz has settled a lawsuit relating to an alleged nightclub incident.
In 2021, Jauhara Jeffries filed a complaint against the R&B singer, real name Tremaine Neverson, in which she alleged he groped her at a venue in Miami, Florida on New Year’s Eve in 2018.
Jeffries accused Neverson of assault and battery, and in her filing, alleged he non-consensually penetrated her with his fingers while they were on the dancefloor.
The 40-year-old denied all allegations.
While the case had been due to go to trial next month, editors at Billboard reported on Wednesday that the matter had been settled out of court.
No details were shared.
“This court has been advised that the matter has been settled as to all parties and therefore, it is hereby ordered and adjudged that this case is dismissed,” wrote Judge Antonio Arzola in an order. “The court reserves jurisdiction to enforce the settlement and to enter orders necessary to this enforcement.”
Representatives for Neverson and Jeffries declined to comment on the decision.
It’s not the first time the Slow Motion star has been accused of sexual misconduct.
In 2022, Neverson settled a lawsuit filed against him by a woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her at a party in 2016, while he is expected to go on trial next year relating to a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him relating to an alleged 2021 incident.
The Virginia native is expected to testify during the trial, which is slated to begin on 16 March.
