Tyla Announces Sophomore Album A*Pop

Tyla has finally confirmed the release date and album title for her upcoming sophomore effort. A-Pop is out July 24 on Epic. A full tracklist has not yet been released but the album is set to be a balmy one. It will feature the amapiano single “Chanel” and Tyla’s dancehall collaboration with Zara Larsson, “She Did It Again.” The Afro-pop singer also shared a trailer for the project, which sells her A-Pop era as “African,” “Unapologetic,” and “Confident.” Watch it below.

“I feel like the first album, it was very hectic, it was a rush. It was like, all of a sudden, overnight craziness,” Tyla explained in a Rolling Stone interview in February. “So now that I’m settled in, I feel like I know more about my direction and what I want to do, what I want to say.”

Tyla released her self-named debut album in 2024 and followed it up with a 2025 EP, WWP. She has also added star-studded collaborations to her catalog, working artists with Ayra Starr, Sean Paul, and Wizkid.
