Tyler, the Creator Postpones Camp Flog Gnaw As L.A. Braces for ‘Atmospheric Rain Torrential Downpour’

The annual fest at Dodger Stadium was moved to next weekend as Southern California braces for heavy rain

Reports of an “atmospheric river” landing in Southern California have elicited warnings of heavy rain, strong winds, and possible flash floods. As a result, events across the area have been cancelled — among them Camp Flog Gnaw, which was set to kick off this weekend at Dodgers Stadium.

Tyler, the Creator announced that the fest would be postponed on Friday, moving the dates to Nov. 22, 23. “Due to the fact this storm became an atmospheric rain torrential downpour we had 2 choices — cancel or move to next weekend. we chose the latter,” wrote Tyler in a social media post. “We understand this is not ideal so we will offer refunds. For everyone else we will see you next weekend.”

Tyler also shared an updated lineup, which still includes sets by Tyler, ASAP Rocky, Childish Gambino, Doechii, Clipse, Earl Sweatshirt, T-Pain, Larry June & 2 Chainz, Thundercat, and more. Performances by Don Toliver, Tems, Sombr, and Clairo were no longer on the roster.

The incoming storm could see downtown Los Angeles drenched in its wettest November since 1985, reported the Los Angeles Times. Areas damaged by the devastating wildfires back in January have put fire-scarred hillsides from Eaton and Palisades blazes at risk of flooding and landslides.

Heavy rains are expected late Friday and Saturday in Southern California, per The Times, and a flood watch will be in effect for a wide swath of the region from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Evacuation warnings are in effect through 11 a.m. Sunday in areas at risk of mud and debris flows including near where the Palisades, Eaton, Kenneth, Sunset and Hurst fires burned earlier this year.
