Tyler, The Creator says crowd for night one of his All Points East takeover were “fucking dead”

Tyler, The Creator told fans at the second night of his All Points East takeover that the previous evening’s crowd had been “fucking dead” – watch footage below.

The rapper performed two sold-out headline shows at London’s Victoria Park on Friday and Saturday (August 28 and 29), becoming the first artist to headline All Points East on two consecutive days.

Early in Saturday’s set, before launching into ‘Darling, I’, Tyler compared the two audiences and thanked the second-night crowd for bringing the energy that had been lacking on Friday.

“Last night, they were fucking dead, bro,” he said. “So thank y’all right now for lifting my spirits up, I needed this shit.”

Check out footage of the moment below.

Saturday’s performance also saw Tyler bring out A$AP Rocky for their 2017 collaboration ‘Who Dat Boy’, with the pair embracing after performing the ‘Flower Boy’ track together.

A$AP Rocky’s appearance came on the eve of his own headline show at The O2, which takes place tonight (August 30) as part of his ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ world tour.

Rex Orange County also appeared during Tyler’s Saturday set for ‘Boredom’. He had performed the song with Tyler on Friday too, following his own main-stage performance earlier that evening.

The two days featured separate supporting bills. Friday’s line-up included Mariah The Scientist, Clipse, Sexyy Red, Ravyn Lenae, Vince Staples and Yebba, while Saturday featured Daniel Caesar, Baby Keem, Dijon, Ghostface Killah, Syd, Faye Webster, Danny Brown, Jim Legxacy, Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats.

Elsewhere during Friday’s event, Turnstile brought out Faye Webster to perform ‘I Care’, following the release of the band’s reimagined album ‘Never Enough: Versions’.

Rex Orange County had also warmed up for the festival with an underplay show at Village Underground on Thursday (August 27), where he was joined by Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates to debut the unreleased song ‘Elvis’.

All Points East’s 2026 run began with headline performances from Jorja Smith and Tems on August 21, followed by Lorde and an Outbreak London takeover topped by Deftones. Twenty One Pilots will close the festival tonight.

Tyler released his latest studio album, ‘Don’t Tap The Glass’, in July last year. NME awarded it four stars, writing: “The paranoia and parasocial tension explored on that record still linger – but beneath cartoonish ’80s rap armour. It’s part Kurtis Blow and part LL Cool J, encased in a clear Perspex chamber like a collector’s action figure. Instead of inviting connection, Tyler shields himself behind the glass: a museum piece for dance and display only.”

Earlier this month, Tyler also announced the line-up for Camp Flog Gnaw 2026. The festival will return to LA’s Dodger Stadium on November 14 and 15, with Turnstile, Lola Young, Steve Lacy, Future, Vince Staples and Syd among those joining him.
