UK unveils Eurovision 2026 Entry: Look Mum No Computer to fly the flag in Vienna

The search for the United Kingdom’s next Eurovision hopeful ended this morning with a high-voltage reveal on BBC Radio 2. Presenter Scott Mills officially introduced the “mad professor of pop,” LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, as the UK representative for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

His entry, a synth-heavy anthem titled “Eins, Zwei, Drei,” received its exclusive first play during the Breakfast Show. Described by Sara Cox as the “wild rebellious offspring of 80s new wave,” the track marks a bold, experimental shift for the UK.

Known for building his own synthesizers and musical machines, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER (real name Sam Battle) told Scott Mills that the song is a celebratory nod to European culture. “It felt right to write a song that included a bunch of different European things—the whole thing is about going on holiday,” he explained.

The title, which translates to “One, Two, Three” in German, is a deliberate play on the host region’s language. “I’m tired of eating this roly-poly, which I love eating most of the year, but I just want a little bit of a break from it,” he joked, referencing the song’s themes of travel and escapism.

The track has already secured the “Rylan Seal of Approval.” The Eurovision aficionado called into the show to confess, “Out of all the entries, it was the one that really got stuck in my head… I had to stop myself from singing the track out loud out of fear of someone finding out!”

Scott Mills echoed the sentiment, noting the public’s desire for a change in direction: “We always get people saying we need to send something a bit different to Eurovision. So here it is! A synth banger that will have them chanting in the arena.”

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place at the Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday, 16 May, following Austria’s victory in 2025. UK fans can catch the Semi-Finals on May 12 and 14, with all live coverage broadcast across BBC One, iPlayer, and Radio 2.
