Wasserman Agency Rebrands to The·Team

Wasserman Agency has rebranded after its founder and former CEO was named in the January batch of Jeffrey Epstein files. The company, which is currently being sold in light of Casey Wasserman’s appearance in those emails, now goes by The·Team.

According to Variety, Wasserman Agency’s original website rerouted to the new URL and initially displayed a message. “As of today, Wasserman is rebranding as The·Team and you can now find us at the.team,” it reportedly read. “For 24 years, this company has been shaped by our work, our people and our unifying belief in the power of Sports, Music and Entertainment. That philosophy remains the foundation of who we are – and where we are going. We go forward as we always have: Together.”

“We remain completely focused on serving our clients with the same professionalism that has always been our standard,” the company said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

On January 30, the United States Justice Department released a second batch of Epstein files, which revealed flirtatious emails between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prompted by calls to step down, Wasserman has since left the company. On February 13, he announced the sale of the company, which is still underway. In a memo to staff, he stated he had “become a distraction” from the work of the company.

Wasserman is one of the largest talent agencies in the music business, representing high-profile artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, and Tyler, the Creator. The Wasserman company rebrand follows the departure of several musicians from the talent agency who denounced Wasserman’s association with Epstein, including Wednesday, Chappell Roan, and Odesza.
