The Killers were joined by Arcade Fire’s Win Butler for ‘Rebellion (Lies)’ and ‘When You Were Young’ at a festival show in Colombia.

Brandon Flowers and co. played a huge show at Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá’s Parque Simón Bolívar on Saturday night (March 21), and welcomed Butler onto the stage during their encore.

“We’ve got a little treat for everyone,” Flowers told the crowd. “One of our favourite bands is Arcade Fire. It’s a hell of a thing, you know, when you’re putting records out and you’re starting your band, and you’ve got these other people that are coming out and they have similar influences, and they’re so good and it frustrates you but it also makes you want to be better. Anyway, that’s what Win Butler does for us.”

The Killers had already covered Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ earlier in the show, and with Butler alongside them, they played ‘Rebellion (Lies)’, from 2004 debut album ‘Funeral’, followed by The Killers’ own ‘When You Were Young’, the lead single from their second album ‘Sam’s Town’ in 2006. The Killers then rounded out the show with ‘Mr. Brightside’.

Earlier in the set, The Killers welcomed another guest, in the form of Travis frontman Fran Healy, and with him they played the 2001 Travis single ‘Side’. Watch here, along with other fan-captured videos from the show:

The Killers played:

‘Read My Mind’
‘Somebody Told Me’
‘The Way It Was’
‘Smile Like You Mean It’
‘Shot At The Night’
‘Running Towards A Place’
‘For Reasons Unknown’
‘Human’
‘Boy’
‘Just Another Girl’
‘Side’ (with Fran Healy)
‘A Dustland Fairytale’

‘Caution’
‘Runaways’
‘All These Things That I’ve Done’

Back in January, Flowers played ‘When You Were Young’ with Dawes at the Concert For Altadena, a benefit show in support of victims of last year’s California wildfires. They also played Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The Promised Land’.

Flowers has also suggested that the eighth Killers album will be released in 2027, after his next solo album and tour are complete.

Win Butler, meanwhile, announced his split from Régine Chassagne in October, after 22 years of marriage.
