Watch Foxing play final show before an indefinite hiatus

Foxing recently played the final show of their farewell tour, and are now set to go on an indefinite hiatus. Check out the footage and setlist from the night below.

The show was held in their St. Louis hometown, where the emo giants took to the stage at The Pageant venue on December 6.

It was the final of their two farewell shows that were announced in September, when Foxing shared a statement with fans and confirmed that they would be taking a break from the band for the foreseeable future.

This, they shared, was because “in our pursuit of our dreams and making the most honest and genuine art we can, our relationship with music, each other, and our sense of self without the band has eroded.”

They confirmed shows in two cities to say goodbye to fans. Two held at the Thalia Hall in Chicago on December 3 and four, and two in St. Louis on December 5 and 6.

At the latter, the band said farewell with a stacked setlist of nearly 20 songs, containing songs from across all of their records.

They kicked things off ‘Secret History’, a track from their most recent album, 2024’s self-titled. From there, they broke out two more songs from that record, ‘Spit’ and ‘Hell 99’, before going back to their 2021 album ‘Draw Down The Moon’ and playing ‘Go Down Together’, ‘Cold Blooded’ and more.

Other songs played later in the set included ‘The Medic’, ‘Grand Paradise’, ‘Night Channels’ and ‘Bit By A Dead Bee Pt 1’, before they wrapped up with ‘Speak With The Dead’.

The encore saw them close out the night with performances of ‘At Least We Found The Floor’, ‘Rory’, and ‘Nearer My God’.

Find more footage of the night below, along with the full setlist.

Foxing’s St. Louis setlist was:

‘Secret History’
‘Spit
‘Hell 99’
‘Go Down Together’
‘Bastardizer’
‘Cold Blooded’
‘The Medic’
‘Grand Paradise’
‘Night Channels’
‘Gratitude’
‘Greyhound’
‘Bit By A Dead Bee Pt 1’
‘Beacons’
‘Lich Prince’
‘Lambert’
‘Speak With The Dead’

‘Nearer My God’

The emo band was formed in the Missouri city back in 2011 by guitarist Matthew Piva, bassist Josh Coll, and drummer Jon Hellwig, although went through various line-up changes before releasing their debut album ‘The Albatross’ in 2013.

At that point, Coll and Hellwig had made the band into a five-piece, with vocalist Conor Murphy being added to the line-up as well as guitarists Eric Hudson and Ricky Sampson.

Coll left the band after the release of the 2015 album ‘Dealer’ and before 2018’s ‘Nearer My God’, and by that point the band had locked in opening slots for bands including emo giants Modern Baseball and The Hotelier (as per Consequence).

Their final two albums were the aforementioned 2021 release ‘Draw Down The Moon’ and the 2024 self-titled album. The latest line up consisted of Conor Murphy, Eric Hudson, Jon Hellwig, and bassist Brett Torrence.
