Geese covered the iconic Stone Roses hit ‘Fool’s Gold’ at their Manchester gig. Check it out below.

The Cameron Winter-fronted band are currently in the middle of a European tour, and played Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse last night (Tuesday March 24).

It’s become a live tradition for Geese to weave a cover of a local legend into their performance of ‘2122’ each night. In Manchester, they used the moment to honour native heroes, The Stone Roses, with a brief version of their 1989 classic ‘Fools Gold’.

This comes after last month saw Geese’s Max Bassin honour the Roses’ late bassist at the BRIT Awards 2026 during the band’s acceptance speech for Best International Group, telling the audience: “Free Palestine, fuck ICE, R.I.P. Mani, let’s go Geese”

It comes after they paid homage to Primal Scream during their Glasgow gig on Saturday (March 21) with a cover of ‘Movin’ On Up’.

“Glasgow, nice one. Here we fucking go,” Geese captioned a clip of them performing the track, which was shared to Instagram. Primal Scream later re-shared the clip, writing: “Honoured ❤️.”

Both performances come after Geese’s bassist paid tribute to the late Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Mani at the 2026 BRIT Awards when picking up the award for Best International Group.

Geese will continue the tour with a show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town tonight (March 25.  You can see a full list of remaining dates below, and buy any last tickets here.

Geese’s 2026 UK headline tour dates are:

MARCH
25 – O2 Forum Kentish Town, London

AUGUST
26 – Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow

SEPTEMBER
1 – Troxy, London

Ahead of the gig, the band shared a post on Instagram yesterday recapping their UK tour so far. “As we sailed into the beautiful shores of the UK, a wonderful sadness washed over me. ‘Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK’ I said. As I’ve spent countless sleepless nights here in the beautiful UK, I think to myself. ‘Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK’. Fuck yeah the UK, up the UK. London tomorrow. Free Palestine,” they wrote.

Elsewhere on the tour, Geese have debuted a new song titled ‘Apollo’ – a psych-rock leaning track that fans are speculating is a result of some members of the band being spotted in the studio with musicians from Tame Impala, Pond and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in Australia this month.

The song builds on the music the band released via their third album, ‘Getting Killed’, in September, which went on to be named by NME as the best album of 2025.

“Who ordered this absurd, poetic explosion of jazz, rock and noise – where Radiohead, Black Midi, The Strokes, Van Morrison, and Ukrainian choir samples collide without being crushed beneath the pretension? It’s a rare, unpredictable record that comes with such melody in the madness, control in the chaos. It’s a total thrill, but then “all people must smile in times of war”, as Winter croons on ‘100 Horses’,” wrote NME.

“‘Getting Killed’ should be enough to wake people up from their exhausted nostalgia and realise that New York – and guitar music at large – is alive and kicking down their front door. At least, it’s easily the album of the year. Stay wild and carry on.”

In other news, in January, Geese made their Saturday Night Live debut. They were the musical guest on January 24, with Teyana Taylor as host, and performed two tracks from ‘Getting Killed’: ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’ and ‘Trinidad’.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Mac DeMarco and Winter were spotted attempting karaoke together in Japan.
