Watch Harry Styles and Wembley Stadium celebrate England’s World Cup win against DR Congo

Harry Styles celebrated wildly as England defeated DR Congo at the World Cup before his latest Wembley Stadium show – watch below.

The pop star is currently in the middle of his record-breaking 12-night run at the London venue as part of his ‘Together, Together’ tour, in support of his fourth album ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’.

As captured by footage from fans in attendance last night (July 1), Styles was watching England’s last-32 World Cup tie shortly before the show, as were thousands of fans who arrived at Wembley early for a screening, and the former One Direction singer was animated as he celebrated Harry Kane’s dramatic winner.

England trailed DR Congo in a nervy game after an early goal from Brian Cipenga, before Kane scored twice late on to secure a 2-1 win and send Thomas Tuchel’s side into the last 16.

Watch Styles’ reaction here:

Styles has been leaning into the World Cup mood during his Wembley residency, playing a medley of Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ with the Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds’ ‘Three Lions’ during the shows.

Earlier this week, Baddiel reacted to him performing ‘Three Lions’, joking that he was “happy to waive the royalties” after clips of Styles singing the track circulated online.

Styles kicked off the Wembley residency on June 12, when he paid tribute to the late David Hockney and reflected on his One Direction days during the first night of the run.

The 12-night run is the longest single-artist residency in Wembley Stadium history, surpassing Coldplay’s 10-night run in 2025 and Taylor Swift’s eight-night solo-artist record in 2024.

As well as covering ‘Three Lions’ and ‘Underworld’ at his shows, Styles has also been including snippets of songs including Talking Heads’ ‘This Must Be The Place’, Happy Mondays’ ‘Step On’, and Gorillaz’s ‘Clint Eastwood’.

Wembley Stadium also confirmed a rule change for Styles’ recent shows amid the UK heatwave, allowing fans to bring refillable metal and hard plastic water bottles into the venue.

In a four-star review of ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’, NME described the album as “an album that you’ll really want to spend a lot of time with”, adding that it found Styles “taking a new approach to life – and to music – with liberating results”.

Styles has two remaining Wembley Stadium shows on July 3 and 4, before taking the ‘Together, Together’ tour to Brazil, Mexico, the US and Australia later this year.
