Justin Bieber made his long-awaited return to the stage at Coachella. Find out everything that went down below.

Announced back in September, Bieber’s headline set signalled his return to performing for the first time in the US since his 2022 ‘Justice’ world tour. In the meantime, he’s performed at the Grammys and, last month, played a surprise, intimate warm-up show in Los Angeles.

Last night (April 11), he finally made his highly anticipated headline debut at the Californian festival with a 1.5-hour-long set, which opened with tracks from his recent albums ‘Swag‘ and ‘Swag II‘.

It was a stripped-back affair, with Bieber mostly appearing alone on stage, wearing shorts and a zip-up hoodie. At one point, the setlist shifted from his new music to his oldest hits, with the singer sitting on a stool in front of a laptop and asking fans in the Coachella livestream chat what they’d like to hear.

He then began searching his earliest music on YouTube – including fan favourites like ‘Baby’, ‘Favourite Girl’ – marking his first performance of the track since 2013 –, and ‘That Should Be Me’. This segment also involved playing clips of him falling on stage, walking into glass doors, as well as his early covers of Chris Brown and Ne-Yo, which landed him his record deal back in 2008.

He closed out the headlining set with special guests Dijon, Tems, Wizkid and Mk.gee, with The Kid Laroi appearing earlier in the night. Watch clips and see his full, career-spanning setlist below.

Justin Bieber’s Coachella weekend one setlist was:

‘All I Can Take’
‘Speed Demon’
‘First Place’
‘Go Baby’
‘Butterflies’
‘Walking Away’
‘All The Way’/’405’/’Too Long’/’Petting Zoo’/’I Do’
‘Stay’ (with The Kid LAROI as special guest)
‘Things You Do’
‘Glory Voice Memo’
‘Zuma House’
‘Dotted Line’
‘Everything Hallelujah’
‘Baby’
‘Favorite Girl’
‘That Should Be Me’
‘Beauty and a Beat’
‘Never Say Never’
‘Confident’
‘All That Matters’
‘With You’ (Chris Brown cover)
‘So Sick’ (Ne-Yo cover)
‘Sorry’
‘Where Are U Now’
‘I’m The One’
‘Yukon’
‘Devotion’ (with Dijon as special guest)
‘I Think You’re Special’ (with Tems as special guest)
‘Essence’ (Wizkid cover with Wizkid and Tems as special guests)
‘Daisies’ (with Mk.gee as special guest)

Bieber will return again for his second performance next week (April 18). It is believed that he will earn over $10million (£7.3million) in total for his pair of Coachella 2026 performances.

Both of Bieber’s recent albums earned three stars each, with NME describing ‘Swag‘ as Bieber finding “sanctuary in faith and love, with the help of a diverse group of collaborators”.

Its follow-up, ‘Swag II‘ was dubbed “frustrating because there’s plenty of great material scattered across these two parts, which would be far stronger as a single, shorter release. Put bluntly, you have to wonder: did this really need to be a double album?”.

Elsewhere, Geese paid homage to Bieber during their own Coachella set with a cover of ‘Baby’.
