Kacey Musgraves has shared a new video for “Mexico Honey,” the breakaway track from Middle of Nowhere. Running Bear’s Alexa Stone and Stephen Kinigopoulos directed the clip, which was filmed in Mexico. In it, Musgraves sings her own song at a karaoke bar where she meets a tatted-up cowboy, leading to a steamy night in. (Fun fact: This is the second time Musgraves has sung karaoke to one of her own songs in a music video, the first being 2018’s “High Horse.”)
Middle of Nowhere is Musgraves’ sixth studio album and follow-up to 2024’s Deeper Well. Though it wasn’t released as an official single, “Mexico Honey” is currently charting on the Hot 100, having peaked at No. 59 earlier this month. Musgraves will kick off her upcoming North American tour in Chicago on August 21.
