Watch Mitski debut new songs and air rarities at intimate Nashville show

Mitski debuted new songs and aired rarities at an intimate show in Nashville last week –  check out footage below.

Recently, the musician announced a 2026 tour of “global performances”, and unveiled the second single from her new album, called ‘I’ll Change For You’.

Last month, the singer started to drop hints that new material was on the way, the likely follow-up to her 2023 album ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We‘.

She wiped her Instagram page clean and shared a cryptic link inviting fans to call a new phone line, before later announcing a new album, ‘Nothing’s About to Happen to Me’, with the lead single ‘Where’s My Phone’.

Now, last Sunday (February 8), Mitski performed a pop-up show in Nashville at the intimate 600-capacity Basement East at which the musician debited several new songs from the new album, including ‘Where’s My Phone?’, ‘I’ll Change For You’ and the unreleased new track, ‘If I Leave’.

The also included some fan favourites and rarities including ‘A Horse Named Cold Air’, ‘Circle’ – performed for the first time live – ‘I Want You’ for the first time since 201 and  and ‘Pearl Diver’ for the first time since 2012.

Check out footage of the gig below and the full setlist:

Mitski played:

‘Working For The Knife’
‘Buffalo Replaced’
‘I Bet On Losing Dogs’
‘Where’s My Phone?’
‘Heaven’
‘I’ll Change For You’
‘When Memories Snow’
‘Circle’
‘Washing Machine Heart’
‘Once More to See You’
‘I Want You’
‘Francis Forever’
‘If I Leave’
‘Stay Soft’
‘A Horse Named Cold Air’
‘Two Slow Dancers’
‘My Love Mine All Mine’
‘Pearl Diver’

Mitski’s new global performances meanwhile, all take place after the LP is released on February 27 (pre-order here) and kicks off with a six-night residency at The Shed in New York City from March 2-9.

From there, she will play one show in Mexico City, before heading to Hollywood High School in Los Angeles for a five-night residency. Other stops include shows in Istanbul, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, and at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Mitski will then head down under for a four-night stay at the Sydney Opera House, before wrapping up the shows in Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore in July.

Support will vary across different cities, and comes from Sex Week, Gustaf, La Zorra Zapata, Haley Heynderickx, Maria Somerville, Tarta Relena, Gwenifer Raymond, and more. Tickets go on sale next Friday (February 13) at 10am local time.

Mitski’s last album was 2023’s ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We – which was described as “masterful” by NME in a four-star review. The singer has also shared a cover of Pete Townshend’s ‘Let My Love Open the Door’ since then. That was recorded as part of the soundtrack for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.

She has also released some standalone singles too, including a collaboration with Tamino on ‘Sanctuary’, and a guest feature on the title track for Florence + The Machine’s latest album, ‘Everybody Scream’.
