Noel Gallagher has given Goldie a tour of his studio, and shown him the rig he’s planning on using for his reunion tour with Oasis. Check it out below.
The music producer and DJ met up with the Britpop icon at the latter’s Lone Star Studio in North London yesterday (October 21), and shared a video on social media documenting his time there.
According to the clip, Goldie caught up with Gallagher ahead of the release of his new album. Few details have been shared about the new project, although it looks like it’ll be one of his first releases since the remix version of his 1995 album ‘Timeless’, which he shared last year.
In the new update, Goldie filmed on his phone while walking around the studios and asked the Oasis star to take him through some of his gear. “Show me! Show me the fucking merchandise, Gallagher,” he said towards the start, as Gallagher took him through some of his guitar pedals and recalled how one of the knobs came off recently.
After spinning the camera around to show the two of them, the High Flying Birds frontman took him over to a pedalboard that was laying on the floor, before revealing: “That’s going to be my Oasis rig.”
Goldie poked fun at another set-up in the room and spoke directly to the camera to wrap up, saying: “Destination not known, but we’re up and running on the Goldie album, so fuck you lot.” Check out the full thing below.
In other Oasis news, after the band announced their UK and Ireland dates, they went on to confirm their return to North America last month, as well as a string of shows in Australia, which will take place in late October and early November. Already, the latter leg has been extended twice due to “phenomenal demand”.
Sources close to the band and tour have told NME that further international dates are set to be announced for cities including Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), São Paulo (Brazil), Santiago (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Since the announcement, there have been reports that a documentary was in the works to chronicle their journey to their return and the colossal gigs, although the band have since denied this.
More recently, Oasis ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and said they won’t be appearing at any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel have shot down rumours of a return to Knebworth in 2026 too.
It was confirmed yesterday afternoon (October 21) that Richard Ashcroft will be joining the band as a special guest for their 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour.
Last year, Noel Gallagher also caught up with NME at the Lone Star Studio, as part of the In Conversation series, and recalled his time working with Johnny Marr and The Cure‘s Robert Smith, his thoughts on the AI-generated Oasis album, Britpop reunions, and The 1975. You can watch it in full above.
As for Goldie, as well as working on new material, the producer and DJ’s record label was among those who paid respects to drum & bass pioneer DJ Randall, who died in August.
His Metalheadz label, which hosted McNeill during their Outlook Festival showcase, shared a tribute on Instagram, reading: “A uniquely loveable character with a heart of gold, we will miss you very much Randall.”
