Watch Turnstile cover ‘Burning Fight’ by Zack de la Rocha’s pre-Rage Against The Machine band Inside Out

Turnstile have covered the intense track ‘Burning Fight’, which was released by Zack de la Rocha’s pre-Rage Against The Machine band, Inside Out.

The Baltimore hardcore giants dropped their rendition of the track on a recent appearance on BBC 1’s Live Lounge Late.

While on the show, frontman Brendan Yates and co. broke out two of their most recent tracks, ‘I Care’ and ‘Dull’ from their critically acclaimed latest album ‘Never Enough’, and also kept in with the show’s tradition by covering one song from another act.

For their choice, they went for the lively, pumped-up track ‘Burning Fight’, which was released by Zack de la Rocha when he was in the band Inside Out.

The track featured as the lead single to that band’s lone release, the EP ‘No Spiritual Surrender’, which dropped in 1990 before the singer formed Rage Against The Machine the following year.

Check out the Turnstile version below, which sees the band mainly stay loyal to the original track, but add their own spin with Yates’ unmistakable vocals.

The Live Lounge Late appearance comes shortly after Turnstile performed an intense set at Coachella 2026 last month – and started their set by addressing the news that their former guitarist Brady Ebert hit Yates’ father with his car.

Reports emerged earlier that month that Ebert, who parted ways with Turnstile in 2022, had been arrested for attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault. It later transpired that Ebert was said to have run over vocalist Yates’ father, William, with his car.

Turnstile later confirmed that Ebert had caused “severe physical trauma” by running over William, who underwent surgery and was “hoping for the best possible outcome in his recovery”.

The hardcore band will soon play a UK-exclusive headline show at The Piece Hall in Halifax and also open for Tyler, The Creator at London’s All Points East.

Festival dates they have lined-up include slots at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and more. Visit here for UK tickets and here for international tickets.
