Twenty One Pilots have shared a preview clip of their upcoming concert film More Than We Ever Imagined – watch it first on NME above.

The Grammy-winning duo, comprised of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, announced the new movie last month before releasing an epic official trailer.

Released in collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing, the project will contain footage of their career-defining show in Mexico City during ‘The Clancy World Tour’, which saw them perform to 65,000 fans in a sold-out stadium.

As well as epic footage of them onstage, the film also chronicles Twenty One Pilots as they touch down in the city, help set up the huge stage, and mentally prepare for one of the biggest gigs of their career.

More Than We Ever Imagined hits the big screen at IMAX and cinemas worldwide tomorrow (Thursday February 26) for a limited time, with exclusive IMAX previews starting today (Wednesday February 25). Tickets are on sale now – you can buy yours here.

Now, the band have shared a one-minute preview of the film with NME, showing a high-octane moment from the set. The clip shows a blistering rendition of ‘Next Semester’ from Twenty One Pilots’ 2024 album ‘Clancy’.

“This project has made me realise that the DNA of a live show is almost identical to the movie theatre experience,” director and longtime 21P videographer Mark C Eshleman exclusively told NME.

“You get in the car with your friends, drive someplace that’s loud and bright – completely shielding you from the outside world, losing yourself in the moment. And then you get back in the car and talk about it nonstop all the way home.”

He continued: “A great concert and a great movie can change your life. I’ve watched this band put on unbelievable live performances in the 16 years we’ve been creating together, and this film perfectly captures the magic of a Twenty One Pilots show.

“I believe concert films are here to stay, and I can only hope this one helps awaken a passion for cinema inside of fans who have only experienced live music.”

Joseph and Dun provide commentary throughout More Than We Ever Imagined, too – reflecting on the journey that brought them to that career-high milestone in Mexico City. The movie also boasts both sweeping aerial shots of the stadium and footage of the live gig from every angle.

Eshleman previously explained: “For More Than We Ever Imagined, we were given the opportunity to capture two perspectives of a Twenty One Pilots performance.

“Over 20 cameras centred around the fans experiencing their show and, the second, the perspective I have had all these years leading up to that sold-out stadium in Mexico City, a camera following Tyler and Josh as they take the fundamentals of their show and apply to one of the biggest stages.”

Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing commented: “This all-new film marks their second time bringing a concert experience to cinemas — and their first with IMAX — delivering the scale, sound, and shared energy that make it feel as close to being at the live show as possible.”

In other news, Twenty One Pilots have officially released fan-favourite song ‘Drag Path’ as a single. They previously shared the track as part of ‘Breach: Digital Remains’ – a limited-edition expansion of their 2025 album, ‘Breach’.

The duo are scheduled to make their debut headline appearance at All Points East 2026 in London’s Victoria Park this summer, marking their only UK performance of the year. The line-up features an array of support acts, such as Wunderhorse, Nova Twins and Pvris.

Twenty One Pilots will also top the bill at Electric Castle 2026 alongside The Cure, with other European stops including Sziget, Mad Cool, NOS Alive, Rock Werchter and Pinkpop.
