D̶e̶f̶i̶n̶i̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ Maybe

But the singer teased hope for 2027 on social media with a less resounding “Maybe”

If you missed Oasis’ reunion tour this year, it’s now OK to look back in anger, because you may have missed out. The future of the reunion is now in doubt following a series of pointed social media posts from one Liam Gallagher.

In the past 24 hours, the singer directly toyed with fans’ emotions with blunt, acerbic answers to questions about the band. “Is there gonna be a 2026 tour?” one asked. “NO,” he responded in capital letters. “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?” another asked. “YES IM FUCKING SERIOUS,” he responded, apostrophe implied. “[Is] there gonna be a 2027 tour,” another queried. “Maybe,” he replied, using only one capital letter, which means he probably whispered it like Marlon Brando saying, “The horror, the horror,” at the end of Apocalypse Now.

The repartee arrived ahead of the reunion’s kiss-off date in Brazil this weekend. His noncommittal shouldn’t shock any fans since he already answered a fan if he was sad to see the tour end with a smarmy answer. “I’m not actually as I know things you don’t know,” he wrote last Wednesday.

When a fan asked if he’d been scolded for saying “see you next year” at the concerts, he said that somebody — no(el?) names mentioned — responded with “a few tuts and raised eyebrows.”

Trending Stories

“You will see me next year and the year after and so on, just not sure yet if it’ll be with oasis,” he wrote in another very long run-on sentence that we’re breaking up just so you can catch your breath. “We need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not” (no full stop, capitalization his).

In another missive, he added, “I can’t magic up a tour it is what it is and probably for the best.” If you’re worried about missing out, you better book your airfare to Brazil fast.
