Zayn Malik responds to claims he lashed out at fans

Zayn Malik has responded to claims that he swore at fans while leaving a hotel in Manchester.

The former One Direction star has hit back at accusations that he aggressively shouted at a group of fans as he exited the hotel on Sunday.

According to footage obtained by TMZ, Zayn appeared visibly irritated as several people blocked his path to a waiting car.

The PILLOWTALK singer reportedly lashed out, telling them to “get the f**k out of my way” before pushing through the crowd and getting into the vehicle.

Reports also claimed that Zayn, 33, was accompanied by a female member of his team, who could be heard shouting, “You guys he can’t get in the car! Please can you watch out! How am I supposed to get in the front seat? Can you move please so I can get in the car!”

However, after the clip circulated on social media, Zayn took to Instagram to clarify that it was not his fans blocking his path, but “various adult men”, whom he described as “stalkers”.

“Let’s get the facts straight – the fans were and always are respectful and amazing – the problem was the various adult men who stood blocking the hotel doors and the car for 10 minutes, not letting us or the security guards leave,” the singer wrote in the comments of a TMZ Instagram post.

“They are not fans, they are stalkers that show up wherever someone they want to meet is and do the same thing to everyone to try to get content,” he continued. “It is not safe and not okay and they ruin it for the real fans.”

Zayn had been staying at the hotel following his show at AO Arena as part of his Konnakol Tour, which kicked off in London on Saturday.

The incident comes shortly after the singer cancelled 22 dates of his concert tour after suffering a health issue that left him hospitalised last month.
