Zayn Malik has seemingly made a shady dig about the cost of tickets to his former bandmate Harry Styles’ upcoming tour.

The Pillowtalk singer, who is currently in the middle of a Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM, shocked the crowd on Wednesday night when he seemingly referenced the backlash over the ticket prices to his former One Direction star’s tour.

During a break between songs, he asked the crowd, “Who’s from Vegas? Who’s from elsewhere? I just want to say a big, big thank you to each and every single one of you for being here with me tonight. You could have been anywhere but you decided to spend your night with me. Hopefully, the ticket prices weren’t too high.”

According to video footage posted on social media, Zayn licked his lip and shrugged cheekily. He had a small smile on his face as he took in the crowd’s shocked reaction and the applause from members of his band.

Moving swiftly on, Zayn continued, “Just sayin’, anyway, who wants to hear another song?!”

Some of Harry’s fans have taken to social media this week to express their outrage over the cost of ticket prices. For his 12-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium, prices range from $61 (£44) to more than $643 (£466), with VIP bundles reportedly reaching as high as $1,000 (£725).

For his 30-show residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the tickets reportedly range between $50 (£36) and $1,180 (£855).

The As It Was star originally announced six dates at Wembley, but added six more due to incredible demand. With 12 shows, Harry is now the artist with the most performances in a single year at the iconic venue, beating the previous record set by Coldplay with 10 shows last summer.

The 31-year-old also breaks the record for the most concerts performed by a solo artist during a single concert run, surpassing Taylor Swift’s eight-night Eras Tour record in 2024.

He will perform at the venue between Friday 12 June and Saturday 4 July, and Shania Twain will serve as his opening act.

The Together, Together tour, which kicks off in May, currently consists of 58 shows across seven cities. It is in support of his long-awaited fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which is set to drop on 6 March.
