StubHub apologise for mistaking Christian Christmas concert for Lamb Of God show

Ticket website StubHub has apologised for any confusion after mistaking a Christian Christmas concert for a gig by metal band Lamb Of God.

According to a report by Stereogum, the amusing mishap happened after Behold The Lamb Of God, a performance by Christian songwriter and author Andrew Peterson, was scheduled for December 20 at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in South Carolina. While the venue’s website and Ticketmaster both listed accurate information, StubHub used an image of the metal legends instead.

Neither act has commented on the mix-up, although Lamb Of God posted on Christmas Day promoting forthcoming North American dates in March and April 2026.

A spokesperson for StubHub told local news outlet WSPA: “We acknowledge the listing for the December 20 event at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium was misleading and apologise for the confusion this caused.”

The statement continued: “Ahead of the show we updated the event page and reached out to customers to clarify the event details. Anyone who purchased tickets under the impression this was a different performance is encouraged to contact us—we’ll honour a full refund under our FanProtect Guarantee.”

In 2025, Lamb Of God were among those who performed at Black Sabbath‘s farewell gig ‘Back to the Beginning’, which fell just weeks before Ozzy Osbourne’s death on Tuesday (July 22), aged 76.

Frontman Randy Blythe paid tribute to the icon, recalling a time he and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, intervened on his behalf during an incident in 2012 when he was imprisoned in the Czech Republic. “The fact that they were willing to do that, and stick up for a member of their extended musical family, speaks volumes to their character.”

In March, Blythe spoke to NME about his book ‘Just Beyond The Light’, saying: “It’s me trying to go through this crazy world”
