Geese, Cardi B and A$AP Rocky confirmed for ‘SNL’

Geese, Cardi B and A$AP Rocky have all been confirmed as locking in musical guest slots for upcoming episodes of Saturday Night Live.

The New York rock band will be performing on January 24, and the host for the episode will be One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor. For frontman Cameron Winter and co. it will be their first time on the hit US series, and follows on from a huge 2025 for them.

The former NME Cover stars are currently riding high thanks to huge praise for their latest album, ‘Getting Killed’. That record earned a five-star review from NME, and later landed at Number One on our 50 best albums of 2025 list.

Their track ‘Taxes’ also came in at Number Two in NME‘s round-up of the 50 best songs of 2025, and others sharing praise for the band included Nick Cave and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The SNL debut comes shortly after the band’s frontman was parodied on the show last month – with cast member James Austin Johnson doing an impression of the New York crooner, and depicting him doing an unlikely collab with Benson Boone.

Other musical guests confirmed for upcoming shows include A$AP Rocky, who will take to the long-running comedy series on January 17 for a performance, and Cardi B who will perform on the show for the last episode of the month (January 31).

Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard will be a guest host for the January 17 show – following the hit Netflix series recently coming to an end – and Alexander Skarsgård is lined-up to host on January 31, likely in support of his new film Pillion and A24’s upcoming Charli XCX mockumentary The Moment.

Earlier in the 51st season of SNL, hosts have included Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, Melissa McCarthy and more, and new writers and performers joining the series included Ben Marshall, Veronika Slowikowska, Kam Patterson, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane.

The new additions come following five established names leaving the series after season 50 (Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Emil Wakim, and Devon Walker). Fan favourite Bowen Yang also departed from the series at the end of 2025.

In other Geese news, accolades have gone into the new year too, with them being longlisted for the BBC Radio 1 Sound Of 2026, and confirmed for Reading & Leeds, too.

When Winter gave a solo performance at London’s Roundhouse last year year, and NME gave it a glowing five-star review, writing: “Cameron Winter has the power, talent and magnetism of a future great – a star to go the distance with just that voice, a piano and a whole world quite literally at his fingertips.”

Later, at his hometown stop at Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium, the performance was seen being recorded by director Paul Thomas Anderson.
