Ian Munsick, J-Pop Group Number_i & More Recent Music Artist Signings

The sheer number of artist signings announced on a weekly basis makes it difficult to keep up, no matter how closely you pay attention to the industry news cycle. That’s why every other Tuesday, Billboard compiles the latest signings to labels, distributors, agencies, management companies and more, in an effort to provide a snapshot of the latest moves in the artist space, from household names to indie stars to emerging acts.

Ian Munsick and his West to the Rest Records have partnered with Triple Tigers Records. In the process, Munsick joins the Triple Tigers roster, which also includes Russell Dickerson, Scotty McCreery and Shane Profitt.

Munsick’s new song “Geronimo” was released on Jan. 30. He will launch his Eagle Flies Free tour in February.

“Every artist dreams of partnering with a record label that not only understands their vision, but creates a clear, passionate plan on how to reach that destination. After I played some of my new music for the team at Triple Tigers, they told me exactly what songs they thought could achieve that vision,” Munsick said in a statement. “In a day [and] age where labels often rely on third parties for opinions that may or may not eventually lead to action, it was so refreshing to hear the words ‘that song is a hit’ when playing a guitar/vocal work tape for the label heads. Results are never guaranteed in the music industry but I am confident that the combination of this new era of Ian Munsick music and the strategic workhorse of Triple Tigers will result in a true 50/50 partnership made in country & western heaven.”

“Ian Munsick is the ultimate artist: unique identifiable voice, compelling songs and perspective, established brand and a massive fanbase that is growing by leaps and bounds,” added Triple Tigers Records’ Kevin Herring and Annie Ortmeier in a statement. “We are ecstatic to partner with Ian and are ready to take country music by storm.” — Jessica Nicholson

Randall King and his longtime day-to-day manager, Clayton Toney, have joined Martha Earls‘ Neon Coast artist development company.

Texas native King is known for songs including “You in a Honky Tonk” and “Mirror, Mirror.” He released his major label debut Shot Glass in 2022 and followed it with his sophomore project, Into the Neon. Toney has joined Neon Coast as artist manager, continuing as King’s point of contact and now co-manager.

Neon Coast is also home to artists including Kane Brown, Restless Road, Dylan Schneider, Nightly, Julia Cole, Kat Luna and Alyssa Flaherty.

“Randall and Clayton are exactly the kind of artist-manager partnership we love to support,” Earls said in a statement. “They’ve grown something special the right way — on the road, through songs that matter, and with a clear creative vision. We’re excited to welcome them to the Neon Coast family and help amplify what they’ve already built.”

“2026 is starting HOT and looking real good. I’m thankful to Howie Edelman and Scott Gunter at Durango for all they’ve helped us accomplish so far, excited for this new adventure with Neon Coast, and thrilled to keep Clayton on board for this next chapter,” added King. “The future of country music is bright!”

“It’s been a pleasure working with Randall since the early days of his career, and I’m grateful to Martha and the Neon Coast team for sharing our continued vision for his future,” added Toney. “We knew from our first meeting that their passion for Randall and all he’s accomplished was unparalleled. Their excitement and eagerness were contagious and easy to see, and we can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us.” — Jessica Nicholson

“I am very excited to work with the incredibly talented Willow Avalon, whose artistry brings a strong mix of vulnerability and fearlessness. Working alongside Mark Shami to further champion her vision and long-term success is a natural partnership,” Austin Rosen, CEO/founder of Electric Feel, said in a statement.

“For us, Sumerian was always more than a label, they were a movement,” said sace6 in a statement. “Growing up, they were a gateway into a world that we were always certain we would find ourselves existing in, side by side with the music and the artists that raised us. Sumerian has been a home to endless icons and we are forever grateful to reside here and begin our own prodigal story.” — Chris Eggertsen

Singer-songwriter Jenna Paulette signed with The Erv Woolsey Company for management. The Leo33-signed Paulette released her Horseback (Deluxe) project on Jan. 30.

The company, founded in the 1980s by its namesake, the late Erv Woolsey, and carried on by his son and CEO Clinton Woolsey and company president Allen Mitchell, signed Paulette following the success of her 2024 sophomore album Horseback.

“Jenna is a rare, multifaceted talent in music and beyond. Her songwriting paints vignettes that reflect her life and, coupled with her marketing savvy, she has the ability to deliver a message in a way that’s authentic and an extension of her West Texas lifestyle,” Mitchell said in a statement, adding, “It’s been a joy forging and expanding her connection on and off stage through meaningful partnerships with Justin Boots, Ely Cattleman and American Hat. Clinton, myself and everyone at The Erv Woolsey Co are honored to support her on this journey.”

“I’m so grateful Allen took my call when I was searching for management,” Paulette said. “We’ve known each other for a long time, and I was calling for advice from a friend and ended up finding the answer to a prayer for the right partner on the management side. It was good timing! It’s been fun working together, and I cannot wait to see what becomes of teaming with Clinton, Allen and the entire Erv Woolsey Co. family.” — Jessica Nicholson

Kentucky singer-songwriter Tyler Booth signed with Jamey Johnson‘s Big Gassed Records in a joint venture with Average Joes Entertainment and also finalized a management agreement with The Erv Woolsey Company.

While attending Morehead State for college, Booth recorded an EP titled Make It to Mexico. In 2020, he signed a joint venture with Sony Music Nashville and Villa40, releasing songs including “Long Comes a Girl” and “Where the Livin’ Is.” He has toured with Brantley Gilbert, Darius Rucker and Dwight Yoakam.

“Jamey is all about the music,” Booth said in a statement. “He loves music, and I do too. That is why we have that connection. He is really laid back and goes with the flow, and I am too. I feel like music is supposed to be that way.”

Johnson said of Booth, “He is a wonderful singer and a great songwriter and he deserves to be heard.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to be involved with Tyler,” Forrest Latta, president of Average Joes Entertainment, said in a statement. “After hearing his latest project — the talent, the growth, the ability to create the traditional sounds and compelling stories that have made country music great — we couldn’t get enough. And to partner with an icon like Jamey made this a no brainer. We had to be a part of it.”

In his own statement, Erv Woolsey Company president Allen Mitchell said, “Tyler embodies the traditional, storytelling spirit that has been at the core of our company’s reputation since its formation in the ‘80s. As the EWC forges into the future, we couldn’t be more proud that he chose to partner with us for this next chapter of his career.” — Chris Eggertsen

  • GLU (FLG)

Frontiers Label Group imprint FLG signed GLU, the genre-mixing solo project of Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions).

As GLU, Shuman released the debut EP My Demons in 2023. He followed that with the single “Boogie Man” — which scored a sync in the video game MLB the Show ’25 — last year, according to a press release. He has toured with The Kills, Blood Red Shoes and Miles Kane.

“Excited to finally have a great team of people and veteran music heads who are as excited about the future of GLU as I am,” said Shuman in a statement.

Leo Nicholas, head of FLG, added, “Continuing our mission to partner with boundary-pushing artists, I am super proud to welcome GLU to the FLG roster. Having long admired Mikey’s exceptional range and songwriting prowess, we knew this collaboration was the perfect fit for our label’s evolving sound.” — Chris Eggertsen
