Bebe Rexha says her new album Dirty Blonde is “me owning exactly who I am”.

The I Got You hitmaker has previewed her follow-up to 2023’s Bebe with the Diplo-curated Dirty Blonde [The Super Dirty Cut], described as “a high-octane, 4-minute mashup that merges 13 of her upcoming singles and corresponding video elements into one adrenaline-packed release.”

The mashup comes alongside the lead single from her forthcoming fourth studio album, I Like You Better Than Me.

Fans have been invited to “clip, remix, and reimagine” the mashup and plaster it across their social media pages, a savvy move to get free promotion for the project.

With the help of the independent label EMPIRE, Bebe aims to rollout her new era in a way that “feels immediate, disruptive, and completely on her terms.”

She said in a statement: “This next chapter is about creative freedom — trusting my instincts, trusting my voice, and finally doing things the way I’ve always wanted to. I’ve learned a lot, I’ve lived a lot, and I’m fully tuned into myself now. Following my gut has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my career. This era is fearless, loud, and unapologetic — no filters, no limits. DIRTY BLONDE is me owning exactly who I am.”

Bebe doing things her own way comes almost two years after she threatened to expose the music industry scandals that she has been “silenced” from speaking out on.

She raged on X: “I have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time. I haven’t seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS. And when I have spoken up I’ve been silence and PUNISHED by this industry Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly. (sic)”

The 36-year-old singer later added: “It’s sadness. I’m sitting in my hotel room in London crying my eyes out. I’ve felt hopeless for the longest time. I’ve been walking a lot through this city and meeting fans and they have really ignited something inside of me.”

Dirty Blonde is released on June 12.  I Like You Better Than Me is available to stream now on all major platforms. Dirty Blonde [The Super Dirty Cut] is available on Bebe’s official YouTube channel.
