MGK has somersaulted off a roof into the audience, causing him to “mess my back up really, really bad” – watch the moment below.
The musician was playing an afterparty on June 6 at Mezzo Grille in Conneticut while on tour for his latest album ‘Lost Americana’.
While performing his collaboration with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst ‘FIX UR FACE’, MGK clambered onto a nearby roof to try and crowd surf. However, as he leapt into the audience, the people underneath failed to catch him – resulting in concertgoers screaming “Pick him up! Pick him up!” as MGK sank into the crowd.
Later, MGK addressed the failed stage dive in an Instagram story (via Loudwire). “I messed my back up really, really bad,” he wrote. “I’m having trouble even just standing or picking things up. I can’t even stand up without using my arms and my upper body strength to help support my back.
“If I’m moving funky at any of these upcoming shows, I don’t want you to think I’m not giving it my all,” he added. “I’m just really, really fucking hurt, dude. Like, it hurts to breathe. But I’m gonna mentally heal. I know this is a big mental game, and I know that my body is pretty indestructible. So I just gotta … and nothing’s more important than the show going on. I don’t cancel anything.”

MGK is currently midway through his tour. He kicked off proceedings last November in Florida, and has since travelled through the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Now, he’s back for another stint in North America, where he’s due play in Pennsylvania’s Scranton tomorrow (June 12). After visiting Idaho, Utah, Ontario and new York, he’ll round things off with a final show in Ridgefield, Washington on July 1.
