Ariana Grande slams White House for using song in pro-ICE video

Ariana Grande has fired back after the White House used her song Bye in a pro-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) TikTok video.

The singer and actor responded directly to the White House’s post, writing in the comments section, “Please do not ever use ?my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. Fck ice.”

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Us Weekly, “We’ll say this one last time: what’s actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.”

The clip features real footage of ICE agents making arrests, along with a caption celebrating the passage of the Secure America Act, which President Donald Trump signed on Wednesday, funding ICE through to September 2029.

“Goodbye, criminal illegals! The Trump admin will keep fighting to keep America safe,” White House staff wrote in the caption.

The Thank U, Next singer, who recently split from boyfriend and Wicked costar Ethan Slater, has publicly opposed ICE in the past, including questioning how potential immigration violations compare to Trump’s 2024 criminal conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.

Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Many other artists have previously opposed the use of their music in pro-Trump social media posts, including Adele, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Earth Wind and Fire, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, and Jack White.
