Check out FKA Twigs’ vibrant new single with Lil Yachty, ‘On Your Mind’

FKA Twigs has shared a new single, the pulsing, vibrant ‘On Your Mind’, featuring Lil Yachty – check it out below.

It is the musician’s first new music of 2026 and her return following the one-two punch of ‘EUSEXUA’, NME’s Number Three album of 2025, and its companion piece ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’.

Yesterday (June 19), ‘On Your Mind’ arrived on streaming platforms via Atlantic, a continuation of the techno club energy of her 2025 output. Produced by DJH, it features a verse from Lil Yachty, marking the two artists’ first ever collaboration.

Check out the video, which sees Twigs performing some impressively tight choreography alongside a group of dancers, here:

Twigs has explained that the song came about in the aftermath of the visa issues that forced her to cancel a string of North American tour dates, including Coachella, at the start of 2025.

“i wrote this song with yachty in the evening after a long dance rehearsal when i had found out that my previous manager and production team had not got me visa’s in time to go to coachella and complete my headline EUSEXUA USA tour,” she wrote on Instagram.

“i stayed late in the dance studio manically practicing in the hopes that the news was not true, and in denial that somehow i would still make it across the sea to perform for my amazing and loyal fans if i just practiced a bit more. it never ceases to amaze me how pain can manifest into the hardest and most euphoric sonics. i think making songs like this keeps me on my toes and reminds me that i am not in control.”

She continued: “i am giving this back story because after completing my first arena tour of the USA and EU it feels like the perfect time to release it in celebration of what as artists we can overcome when we believe in ourselves and others believe in us. i feel so full, thank you for coming to see BODY HIGH, thank you for continuing to grow with me. thank you for what we are building next. everything happens for a reason and my reason for making music and art will always be you.”

Elsewhere, Twigs has been navigating two legal cases in recent months – one with the indie band The Twigs, who have accused her of using her fame to “destroy” their trademark, and another against her ex-partner Shia LaBeouf, in which she has accused him of trying to stop her from speaking out about sexual abuse with an “illegal” NDA.

Yachty, meanwhile, appeared on Fred Again..’s 108-hour continuous mix of his ‘USB002’ tour in April, as well as on Thundercat’s new album ‘Distracted’.
