Tom Hardy is gearing up to release his debut rap album – check out all the details below.

The actor is collaborating with Czarface – the East Coast supergroup made up of producer 7L, rapper Esoteric, and Wu-Tang Clan‘s Inspectah Deck – for ‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer,’ with Hardy’s rap persona being Frankie Pulitzer, AKA Face Puller.

Method Man will also make an appearance on the new album, along with El-O and Busta Rhymes. Hardy previewed the LP on Thursday (June 25) with new single ‘Brothers Grimm’, which, over a ‘90s hip-hop beat, sees Czarface’s Inspectah Deck and Esoteric spit their verses before Hardy comes in, rapping: “Came with blood in a flash you get dashed / Karambit to jugular femoral to the gambit / Arterial spray from the carotid to the ceiling.”

While it might seem a big pivot for the Venom star, Hardy has long been involved with rap, and back in 2011, revealed that he had actually got a record deal when he was 15, and ended up recording “loads of stuff” that was never released – until ‘Falling on Your Arse’ mixtape was leaked in 2018.

‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer’ is also not the first time that he’s worked with Czarface. In 2021, the actor first rapped on the group’s ‘Good Guys, Bad Guys’ EP under the Frankie Pulitzer moniker, and a few years earlier, joined Method Man on Czarface’s ‘Knull & Void’.

News of the album follows chatter that Hardy had been fired from drama series MobLand, something the show’s creators recently denied.

Headlines emerged lately that the British actor was let go from the Guy Ritchie-directed series following the shooting of season two, after disagreements with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser over script rewrites, as well as staying in his trailer for hours keeping co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren waiting.

Later investigations found that there may be a way back for him, but a new report has revealed he wasn’t let go at all.

“Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for season three and things are being worked through creatively,” a production source told Variety. “I’m sure Guy is probably pushing David Glasser to make it work,” they continued. “Guy likes working with Tom.”

MobLand debuted on Paramount+ in March 2025, with Hardy starring as Harry De Souza, a “fixer” for the notorious Harrigan crime family. The premiere would break the record for the largest series launch for the streaming service. NME’s review of the first season argued that “Tom Hardy, both endearing and menacing, is easily the best thing in the show.”
