Out threatrically on Aug. 26, metal band’s second concert movie was shot on 16mm film and presents a behind-the-scenes look at their Skeletour
Ghost have shared the new trailer for 2 Big to Rig, the upcoming concert film documenting the Swedish papal heavy metal outfit’s 2025 gigs in Mexico City.
In addition to presenting 16mm film footage from Ghost’s two September 2025 shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes, 2 Big to Rig also goes behind-the-scenes of the band’s onstage spectacle and “spectacular live production” from the viewpoint of their crew.
The concert film was made with “the intention to share the Skeletour World Tour experience with the faithful in the territories where staging the show was not logistically feasible,” according to a press release. As one member of the production team says in the trailer, the concert’s stage setup is literally “too big to rig, but we do pull it off everyday.”
Trafalgar Releasing will unleash 2 Big to Rig on cinema and IMAX screens worldwide beginning Aug. 26; check out the official site for participating theaters and ticket information.
The Amir Chamdin-directed 2 Big to Rig marks Papa V Perpetua and his followers’ second feature film following 2024’s Rite Here Rite Now, which ultimately became the highest grossing hard rock cinema event in North American history. In 2025, Ghost released their sixth studio album Skeleta, their first with the newly rechristened “Papa V Perpetua” at the helm.
